Aviation & Aerospace Recruitment across the United Kingdom

Why we exist

Most generalist recruitment agencies treat aviation as another vertical to be staffed by whoever has the closest desk. The candidates arrive without the correct rating for the aircraft type, the licence category is one letter off, the recruiter cannot explain the difference between a B1.1 and a B2, and the aviation employer quietly starts working with a second agency in parallel. The vacancy stalls, the aircraft goes AOG, and the eventual hire is often a compromise on the operating standard.

Sky High Staffing was set up to be the opposite. A specialist aviation and aerospace desk. Airline crew, ground operations, ramp handling, MRO engineers, avionics, aviation quality, aerospace manufacturing, airport operations, GSE, aviation logistics, planning and scheduling, and aviation compliance. Every consultant on the team knows the regulatory framework the role sits under before we screen the CV.

What we do, plainly

We place aviation and aerospace talent for UK employers. Airlines, MRO organisations, ground handlers, airport operators, aerospace manufacturers, OEMs and their supply chain. Direct-hire placements, retained for senior specialist and postholder roles. One consultant accountable end to end, from the intake call through onboarding follow-up.

How we vet

Every applicant on a Sky High shortlist has been assessed against the same aviation-native standard:

  • Licence category, ratings and type-approvals verified against your operating requirement (B1.1, B1.2, B1.3, B1.4, B2, C-licence, EASA, CAA, FAA)
  • Currency of last check date, LPC / OPC dates for crew, medical class where relevant
  • Five-year checkable history readiness for airside pass eligibility
  • Right-to-work confirmed before introduction
  • Current comp package broken down: base, allowances, per diem structure, roster pattern
  • Notice period, non-compete positions and airside-pass transferability
  • Reference readiness (line manager, quality manager, licence-holder) before we send

Who we work with

Our clients include UK airlines, business aviation operators, Part-145 MRO organisations, aerospace OEMs and their supply chain, ground handlers, airport operators and aviation training organisations. Chief pilots, chief engineers, quality managers, station managers and heads of resourcing who value an aviation-native recruiter over a generalist.

How we think about a placement

A placement is not a signed offer letter. It is the moment 12 months later when the licence is current, the check dates are up-to-date, the postholder role is populated on the aviation-authority record, and the operation is running to the standard it was scoped against. That is the outcome we measure ourselves against.

Our standards

  • Aviation-native screening. Every CV is read by a consultant who understands the regulatory framework the role sits under.
  • Tell the truth. If a comp band is light for the licence category or the timeline is too tight for the airside-pass process, we say so before sourcing.
  • One consultant, end to end. Same person from intake to onboarding follow-up.
  • Discretion by default. Every approach is confidential. Every brief is confidential until you say otherwise.
  • Stand behind the work. Replacement guarantee on every direct-hire placement.
